Lila's Maddy!

Meet Lila's Maddy...my mom! She lives in Asheville, NC where she works hard as the Assistant Director of the Grove Arcade Public Foundation. (The Grove Arcade is a beautiful piece of historic architecture located in downtown Asheville, and is home to many unique boutiques, shops and restaurants and hosts a local outdoor crafts market.)
Maddy was present at Lila's birth and stayed on as a foundation of strength during my long labor. Soon I will find the words to share Lila's birth story. But for now, we will continue to introduce Lila's family.

Bae and Silas aka Mama and Papa

Meet Lila's parents...Bae and Silas. Here we are at beautiful Camp Merrie-Woode, where we have spent the last three summers working together. We will return to work again this summer making it Silas's 7th summer as Kitchen Director. I hope to help take on some of the office responsibilities with Lila on my hip. It will be a change from the past three years in the jewelry studio, but I think we will both benefit from the fresh air and opportunity to be together! Many great things have happened for us here. This photo was taken the day before we got married, April 29, 2006. It was a beautiful place for a wedding. It was also here at camp that Lila was conceived. It will always hold dear memories for us.
